I’m in the market for a new vehicle. I want something fast and sporty. I currently drive a 2005 RSX Type S and want something a little faster. I’m looking for something 2009 or newer and for under 23k. Just curious about you guys think! Thanks!
I have some suggestions for you and they are the following:
2009 Infiniti G37 sedan w/3.7L V6 (328hp/26mpg hwy) $22,800
2009 Pontiac Solstice GXP convertible w/2.0L turbo (260hp/28mpg hwy) $21,000
2009 Saturn Sky Red Line convertible w/2.0L turbo (260hp/28mpg hwy) $20,600
2010 Chevy Cobalt SS coupe w/2.0L turbo (260hp/30mpg hwy) $20,200
2010 Chevy Camaro LS coupe w/3.6L V6 (304hp/29mpg hwy) $19,500
Of course, if you planned on trading in your '05 Acura RSX Type S, those prices would be even lower. Or, if you wanted to, you could put that trade in on something in the $30,000 price range and still end up with an overall price below $23,000.

The Mazda RX8 has insane throttle response due to that being the nature of the Renesis Wankel rotary under the hood.

Hey man, If your looking for a car with class and swag go for a used bmw m3 or audi s4. They are mad quick and look awesome. If you get a few years used, they will fit your budget. You can also go with a Mitshubishi Lancer gt. They are super quick, sporty and don't cost a lot at all. You can even get one brand new for your budget.
Another option is a mustang or camaro (the new one) I
I am not a big fan, but many friends have them and there pretty quick too.
If i was in your shoes, I would check out a used bmw 3 series coupe from 08 or 09 and then get it for 20k and customize it and add things to it for 5 k over a few months. They are really reliable too, and hey… its a beemer.
Hope I helped bro!

Avoid the RX-8. It's underpowered and burns oil.
To fit your requirements of 2009 and newer for under $23k, it may be tough. Especially to find something fast.
You might try a VW GTI 2.0T. They have 200 horsepower and 207 ft/lb of torque stock, but a $500 software upgrade will give you 250 horsepower and 280 lb/ft of torque. You'll be able to run on stock components, also. Very quick car.
